Fathima Gany is a Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years of executive, international business and board-level experience spanning multinational corporations, listed companies and the public sector. Her career has taken her across Africa and the Middle East, working within global multinational corporations and South African State-Owned Entities. Her experience spans diverse industries and business models, providing a perspective that connects enterprise strategy and operations with markets, customers and the wider commercial environment. Fathima has held executive leadership positions, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Her responsibilities have extended across financial and commercial performance, business operations, customer and service delivery, organisational systems, people and strategic execution. Her board-level experience includes serving as a Non-Executive Director and Chair, with responsibilities spanning strategic oversight, financial reporting, risk, assurance, governance and institutional accountability.

Throughout her career, Fathima has worked with organisations at pivotal points in their evolution, navigating periods of significant change and helping shape their future direction. Whether through expansion, acquisitions, integration, restructuring or reinvention, her experience has centred on translating strategic ambition into sustainable operating realities and creating the foundations for a new organisational end state. She has also navigated organisations through financial distress, business rescue, restructuring and institutional recovery, alongside broader programmes of financial, operational and governance transformation. A strong advocate of combined assurance, she has an established track record in strengthening internal and external audit processes and maintaining accountability in complex operating environments. Fathima's distinctive strength lies in her ability to see the whole enterprise, recognise interdependencies and connect disciplines that are too often considered in isolation.
